Section one Dismissal from the University

Students in the following categories will be dismissed from the university:

1.Students who have obtained less than 1/3 of the total required credits at the end of the second semester.

2.Students who have obtained less than 1/2 of the total required credits of the first 4 semesters at end of the fourth semester.

Section two Course retaking

Students who have failed the compulsory course should retake the same course to get required grades; students who have failed the optional course should retake the same course or study other optional course to supplement the required credits.

Section three Course exemption

Article one Conditions for applying course exemption

1.Students who have a comprehend knowledge of the course and have passed the interview or examination of the course instructor.

2.Students who retake the course because of violating disciplines during the examination cannot apply for course exemption.

Article two One student can only apply for one course exemption each semester.

Article three Students should apply for course exemption at the first week of each semester.

Article four Requirements for students who have applied course exemption

1.Students should go through the application procedure for course exemption, or it will be regarded as being absent from the class.

2.Students should submit the assignments and take the exams of the course as required.

Section four Course evaluation and disciplines in exam

Article one Course evaluation is combined by final exam and weekly assessment.

1.Weekly assessment includes the form of attendance (being late for over 20 minutes or leave the classroom over 10 minutes earlier will not be counted), assignments (should be submitted on time), team work, test in the class, discussion in the class, disciplines of class and etc.

2.The instructor of each course must check whether students are qualified to take the final exam. The chance to take the final exam can be cancelled if the students have been absent over 1/3 of the total class hours of each course, or they have not submitted over 1/3 of the required assignments. The grade will be recorded as F.

Article two Disciplines in exam

1.Students being late for the exam over 30 minutes are not allowed to get into the room and will be recorded as being absent from the exam.

2.If the students break the exam rules or cheat in the exams, the grades are invalid. Students will receive warnings or certain measures according to the regulations of the university.
