Recently, in the South China Regional Competition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, the Lychee Pioneer Team of Shenzhen University, organized by the School of Economics, won the Team Rising Star Award in the South China Regional Finals.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an English-language analytical and research competition open to finance students from colleges and universities worldwide, with a history of nearly 20 years. Aimed at cultivating and enhancing students' financial investment and research capabilities, it is currently the most recognized, prestigious, and widely participated global event in the field of financial investment and research. In mainland China, the CFA Institute Research Challenge is divided into four local divisions: North China, East China, South China, and Central and Western China. The winning teams from each division then proceed to the Asian regional competition. The Shenzhen University Lychee Pioneer Team, led by teachers Chen Ying, Hu Dongmei, and Wang Jia from our school, consists of students including Jiang Yunli, Yang Leyi, Liu Honggen, Yuan Ziyu from the CFA特色班 (CFA Specialized Class) of the Finance major, and Ao Zihao from the Financial Technology major. As one of the representative teams from the Shenzhen division, the Shenzhen University Lychee Pioneer Team demonstrated excellent financial analysis skills and teamwork spirit in the South China regional competition. With their professional and rigorous analysis reports, unique innovations, and brilliant and confident presentations, they won the Team Rising Star Award among many outstanding teams from institutions such as Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), South China Normal University, Southern University of Science and Technology, and South China University of Technology.

In the future, the School of Economics will further enhance the teaching capabilities and student service standards of its specialized programs with international financial and economic characteristics. It will help more students master comprehensive professional knowledge and practical skills in accounting and finance, and provide students of the school with diversified ability development and practical activities throughout their undergraduate studies. By building exclusive growth platforms and enabling students to accumulate diverse soft skills, the school aims to cultivate high-quality accounting and financial talents with a global vision, strong cross-cultural communication capabilities, and the ability to adapt to the development of the times.
